Jane Doe

In the picture above titled “ Disappointed Love” you can see a woman sitting on the edge of the grass at what looks to be a pond. She is sitting alone, but her face is hidden from the viewer. Since Francis Danby made her face hidden it could represent that no one likes her and she doesn’t have any friends. The background is dark and her dress is white so she is the center of attention for this work of art. This image relates to the book “Frankenstein” because Victor Frankenstien was jailed for, “the murder of his best friend Henry Clerval” (chapter 21). So like the lonely woman in the photo, Victor was all alone in jail with no one to help him.
